What Are You Doing To Stay Healthy Right Now In Derby?
The last 22 months have certainly seen some unprecedented challenges in everyone of our lives. These are certainly different for everyone, but a common thread woven through it all is the importance of the health of our body. As a Derby Chiropractor, I am commonly asked in the office what I have done, and continue to do in order to stay healthy. Here is a list of what I feel are some of the most important steps you can take to protect the health of your body and “super charge” your immune system.
How to Stay Healthy in Derby
Diet
Clearly this is one of the most important places to start. We cannot routinely “fuel” our body with garbage and not think there won’t be some repercussions for doing so. Keep it simple Try to eat whole fruits and vegetables (mostly vegetables), organic healthy meats (pasture raised when possible), as well as healthy fats. Conversely stay away from processed foods, and sugar in general as much as possible.
Supplements
Even with a healthy diet, we may still not be getting the adequate amount of many essential vitamins, minerals, and various other nutrients. A short list of what I take daily (or multiple times a week for a few of them) are the following: Multivitamin, 5000 iu of Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, L-Lysine, and NAC. Among other things, these are all important to help boost and maintain immune system function.
Exercise
The facts are pretty clear on the importance of regular exercise, so I won’t belabor this much more. What I will say is that lack of physical exercise (or just movement in general) is a problem that continues to get worse every year. Don’t complicate it. Get out in nature when possible, and exercise to the point of sweating on a regular basis. Just don’t be paralyzed by indecision.
Limit EMF exposure
This one may be new to many of you, but the research continues to mont on the damaging effects on the cells of our body to frequent high EMF exposure. Most homes are not built with health in mind, and the wires emit dirty electricity, not to mention the WIFI signals in our homes. Now add in the nightmare of 5G rolling out (much stronger cell signals), it is imperative we takes steps to protect ourselves. Do your research, there are many different ways out there to help protect yourself.
The list of steps I have mentioned above are a great place to start, but certainly it’s not a complete list of what may be best for you. We are all different. We all expose ourselves to different types of physical, mental, and emotional stressors.
